Une partie de Palette Spring à Yellowstone s'est écroulé
Palette Spring looks a little different now than it did last September (inset picture). This is a good example of how the features at Mammoth are constantly changing. In this case, the travertine terrace built up so much that, without any support underneath, it collapsed. Currently the water is finding a new route down the hill around the broken chunks of travertine where new terraces will be formed. That is, if the water continues to flow out of the same vent. We'll have to wait to see what happens.
